so excited, making our first trip to Hedo!!..any tips?

Hi everyone, we are making our first trip to Hedo and Jamaica and can't wait!!
Would love any tips that you can give us, from what to wear on the theme nights and things to know. We have been checking sites and have gotten lots of tips already, but you can never know enough, right..lol

When are you going?
Dressing for the theme nights can be very fun, and can go from store bought, to a one item thing to fit the theme to just wearing something sexy.
What to know, bring a travel umbrella, in case its raining when it's time to go to the dining area and you happen to have a nice costume / makeup on.
Apply sunscreen early and often.
As you exit the airport when you first arrive, look to your right, there is a Margaritaville, get a drink for the bus ride.
Afternoon nap time is your friend.
Water shoes for the ocean (sea urchins)
You can bring gifts for the maid, or the maids children, they are greatly appreciated.
The water slide is AWWWSSOOOMME
Don't forget to say please and thank you to the wait staff, you would be surprised how many do and how appreciated it is
Get a Charlie omlette for breakfast
Apply sunscreen early and often
If you need "normal" pics for family, take them on the prude beach and either on the way or way home get off the bus as they drop people at other resorts, get one or two pics in front of their sign and your gold (all the beaches look alike)
Come April 7th - 14th with our amazing group, you will love it.
If you don't come with our group, find out what group is going the time you are going, and join up, the best way to go.

Also,
I always tell everyone, enjoy those last moments before your trip.
Anticipation is a great thing. As you know once you are there, it flies by so fast and before you know it your drinking your dirty banana thinking, wow this is our last night, how did it go so fast again.
So I have learned to enjoy the anticipation the weeks prior, imagining the fun, the costumes, the naughty times, etc. Enjoy it and make it a part of your experience.

Thanks so much for the great advice, started on the pirates costume already!!..lol. Do you what themes are planned for our week, whne we look on the internet, seems they all are a little different. We will be there the same time as you and your group, looking forward to meeting you in person.

I inquired about New Years Eve direct from the resort... and they're calling it a 'Dress to Impress' night... so glam it up is how I translate that one. And don't be shy with your outfits... it felt really weird the first time I wore a PVC bustier and thong to dinner... but I was not alone, and it felt pretty cool to wear it... definitely not what I wear to dinner at home. lol Nothing is too extreme, or too bare... anything goes.
