Setting up the stripper pole in our bedroom.....

Someone was nice enough to give us a stipper pole so my ironworker husband (xoxo) is going to set it up for me in our bedroom which is very large. Can't wait!!! I have picked out a song already that I am going to practice a (somewhat) routine to and then dance/strip for my husband after I feel comfortable and sexy doing it. Also, when we are there next April with our group I am going to request that song and do a little dance for everyone there!!!

Does anyone else have a dance pole in thier home that they use?

Love my pole! It's so much fun! We have ours in the basement but it's an easy set up and nobody has to know, but most of our friends know about it.
    Have you taken any lessons?

I took a few lessons at Hedo 3 when we were there in April 2010. I was quite comfortable on it though. I did a few dances at Desire when we were there too. I am going to practice and look at videos on utube.

    Have fun, fun, fun!
Me and 2 of my girlfriends have been taking lessons since spring. Last night we went upside down on the pole for the first time. Major rush! Not very sexy yet, but still fun.
What kind of pole did you get?

I have an X-pole at home. Love it! Good tutorials on youtube are from Redke71 and Amyxshi. Also an awesome poledance forum is StudioVeena.com (not lifestyle) there are alot of video and info to checkout. I would say start with basic spins and sexy floorwork, because you can hurt your shoulder or elbow super easy if you go to fast. Also look up chair dance vids. Those are fun to do!

I have a pole I set up in my photography studio for the girls to use and have photos taken with. It has a part that extends when you turn a bolt and it forces itself between the ceiling and the floor. Works like a floor jack. It is sturdy enough to do tricks on.

Ours is one that has to be screwed into the floor and ceiling, it is a permantent one. I can't wait to get her bolted in and started!!! But first I have to rearrange the room, lol.

The great thing with the X-pole is you can unlock it and it becomes a spinning pole, or lock it and it becomes static!

For Dance Wicked, there are going to be 2 poles, one static and one spinning (per Mary Ellyn) on the stage for Dance Wicked workshops and stuff. No idea if they are there as part of the regular resort or if they are Mary Ellyn's.

We've got a portable one. Never really had an issue with it going through customs, so taking it to Hedo is a breeze. Setup is almost instantaneous once the dancer(s) arrive. I can set it up on the beach, poolside, my room...I mean it's pretty mobile and durable to say the least. Funny though, ours doesn't a swing, however, (comma), it does swing...go figure. I mean it's....wait....ohhhhhhhh. My bad guys. Different kinda pole. Disregard. Carry on. (SMDH)

Talisman...what is your name on Veena? Private message me if you prefer.

The pole in the disco is a Platinum Stages pole. We have locking pins for it to lock it into static that we keep with us for when we are at Hedo. I gave a couple to the resort when we were there in APril...does anyone know if they left the pin in place or was it removed and back on spin now?

The two poles on the stage are only for the showcase and workshops while we are there but we will keep them on static for the workshops unless one of the instrutors agrees to teach any spin work.

We teach pole workshops all week long at Dance Wicked for Castaways guests and I always do a couple of pole workshops with our Spring Break group too. Been pole dancing since 2002 and teaching since 2005. LOVE it! Loads of fun, challenging and beautiful!
