I posted this yesterday, but I don't see it on the board so I'm posting it again.
Update to the update - HUGE main pool deck party last night put on by LoveVoodoo. DJ, disco lights, smoke machine and lots of energy. Great time!
It's day 5 of our 12 day trip and there is some great, positive news to report from Hedo!
- The new fan being tested in the dining room is AWESOME! Did I say AWESOME? No, INCREDIBLY AWESOME!!! It blows about 100 times more air than the old fans. It was hot in the dining room last night (it is August after all) and we had the good fortune of sitting at the one table (one of the large tables right in front of the stage) where the new fan is being tested. It was actually COOL at our table. We looked around and other people were wiping their foreheads with their napkins. It was great! Don't know when all the fans will be replaced, but it can't happen soon enough. When all of the fans are blowing like that one it will be like heaven on earth in the dining room.
- A couple of very cool groups were in house last week - the Jamaican booze Crew was a fantastic group of incredible, fun people. We were on Moon Hill this morning mooning some of them as they left. When you set your alarm clock at Hedo to moon people, you know they're great folks. Peeps from this board is a truly beautiful person. Sweet as they come, full of life and energy. Just an all round super person. We love you Peeps! The Happy Bastards were also in house - another great group of friendly, fun people who we have met before on previous trips. Occupancy went from fairly light on Wednesday and Thursday to moderately full on the last two days. LoveVoodoo Colorful Fantasies checked in last night and today so we haven't had much experience with them yet, but they seem like a cool group with very good energy.
- The music in the disco was great last night! Great dance music, some disco and disco versions of some classics. There was no musty odor at all and, believe it or not, the temperature was actually comfortable. As a result, there were more people in the disco that we have seen in years, maybe ever!
- Lobster tails on the buffet grill last night!
- Delroy is back in "pre-knee problem" form and has a big smile and appears to be very happy to be back at work
- Winston is away on a promotional trip to the U.S. for Superclubs and won't be back until next Wednesday, but we'll at least get to see him the last few days of our trip.
- Weather has been very, but with an afternoon thunderstorm every day but today. No problem - we've adjusted by using the rain time to take a nap and recharge the batteries for the night time fun. In fact, I'm using nap time to post this! It hasn't been nearly as hot ir humid as we've experienced on previous August trips, despite the afternoon rains. In fact, Tuesday night it was actually a bit chilly if you can believe that.
- The new bridge is very nice but we still haven't walked on it because it still doesn't go anywhere we want to go!
- The second floor OVN nude rooms were getting paint jobs the last couple of days. Appears to be a freshening up rather than a change of colors so expect the usual battleship gray trim.
- Former prude side is still C/O - a good thing in our opinion since we stay on the prude side.
- The piano bar the other night was like the piano bar of old with a lot of guest sing along rather than EC performances. If you're ever here with Peeps make sure they sing Rocky Mountain Music and get Peeps up on the piano! Did we say that we love you, Peeps?
That's about it for now. Munasan's tonight followed by Piano Bar, Disco and hot tub so we need to get some nap time in!
