Trip report June 25th-July 2nd
Arrival on time no problems with the flight actually easy through Atlantic city a 15 min walk right through everything couldnt have been easier. With a layover in florida wouldnt recommend it but it was nicer than flying out of Philly with the crowds. As noted in several other reports once we landed in Jamaica we were accosted by those selling "smoke" from the airport to the beaches and even on jet skis at least 3x a day. This was our virgin trip and we decided to attempt to jump right in.
We arrived around dinnertime on Saturday and had to walk around and get acquinted on our own. Meeting our hedo neighbor Chris with info of four channels of porn perked hubby right up. We jumped right into the theme nights and dressed as much as we could so had fun with that. Our first night we stayed up till sunrise and had some friends over in the prude side jacuzzi tub with us when 3 single guys we ran from earlier found us again and needless to say we met Magjoy... at dawns early light we get the “I love you but ... shut the F up.” After our friends explained the deal we made nicee nice the following days and tried to stay quiet after that. We didnt sleep much in our time at hedo trying to take as much in as we could or maybe it was just being way to excited to miss anything. We really met a lot of nice couples and even some singles. It was fun to meet ppl literally from around the world. We made a lot of contacts that I’m sure wont be the last including our fun times with some from this travel forum. We interacted a lot with the staff and entertainment crew which we didn’t realize was going to be that big of an impression. Jeff and I participated in many activities to earn two bottles of Rum, kayak races and musical sexual positions with St louis couple. Jeff ended up on stage a few times and before the week was over guests were saying yeah.. you were that guy... Toga night was especially fun when Winston called him up on the stage to dance. Later in the night he even did some danicing on the pole in the disco. Yes he did have waay too much to drink! We did a little of everything while at Hedo, Piano bar (no singing for us though) to Disco and a offsite treck to Ricks Café. Some sailing and actually swimming in the ocean and of course the nude pool and jacuzzi at all hours. We only went to sleep early on the third night at 1130 when I apparently was told I hit the "wall" . Other than that not much sleep we made it to most breakfasts and if u didnt there was always a staff member willing to take care of you.
We learned that wearing whatever you want to despite the theme nights was appropriate as Capt jack Sparrow was there on stage one night as well. The Entertainment crew has long hard hours and that it is okay to leave to the resort and you wont get mugged down a side alley. Our cab driver dropped us off without pay and came back to get us on time finding us at Ricks café personally.
All in all, all the trip reports and reading did help us prepare but now that we have gone definatly know what needs to be brought and what can be left at home for next time. Thus the latex body paints and glitter art really did come in handy and no you didn’t really need all those bathing suits! More costumes and more outlandish outfits for the male half a must as it is okay to act young whatever your age. Friends are bountiful and easlily had and you will want to book again after your first night! Thanks to all the great friends we made on our maiden voyage!
