We have been to Hedo 2 three times, Hedo 3 twice and desire this August will be our 3rd. We love Hedo2 and Desire. We personally never enjoyed H3 as much. There are differences. Rooms go to Desire, but we always stay in the gardenview as we only spend a short time in the room. Food also Desire. Food at hedo is good and we enjoyed it, but Mexico is really uping the quality to higher end US standards. Club. Definitely Desire very clean an lounge like with dance floor couches and beds. Also nothing an be worse than the hedo club. Pool bar goes to hedo. Desire doesn't have one, but Sylvia makes continuous laps aroungd the pool so you never are with out a drink. Overall layout is a tie. We like that hedo 2 has the beach, grill, pool, and hottub all right in one area. We also enjoy the beach beds at desire however they are away from the pool and there is little sand as the beach has erroded over the years. Both atmospheres are great but different. We have been to both places with and without groups We enjoyed no groups more but the groups have always been friendly. Also Desire is couples only. No difference to us but it is nice. A Desire friend summed it perfectly. Hedo is very fun sexual while desire is more sensual. Hedo is more bare bones in the jungle frat party while desire is more upscale and refined. We enjoy both and book based on our mood. Hope this helps.
