As Canadians, the Cuban Immigration doesn't stamp our passports also....if they would stamp it , we would be denied entrance into the U.S.A for 6 months....crime is very low in Cuba....very safe to wonder around...they look after the tourists, major source of revenue for country

Cuba was AWESOME when we went to Havana 10 years ago. They encourage that us Gringos buy bottled water - there is a reason for this, the municipal supply SUCKS!! I made the mistake of not buying bottled water & came home with a beautiful case of Montezuma's Revenge. Other than that, it was pretty great!!

Been to Cuba 3 times. No Bacardi, only Havana club rum. They do not as a rule stamp your passport, I basically had to beg them to stamp mine. I have crossed into the US many times and never had a problem with that stamp on my passport. US cash is not the currency of the country, it's the Cuba convertible peso (different from the peso that the locals use). But the US green back goes far, as far as tipping is concerned. All hotels have currency conversion kiosks in there lobbies. Super Clubs Breezes Jibacoa, is adults 18 only. They have many 4 -5 star resorts (that's Caribbean stars) in Cuba, many built in the last few years. If you want to view them find a Canadian travel agent on line (Like Tripcentral.ca or RedTag.ca or Westjet Vacations). There are NO, fast food restaurants, like Wendy's and McD's. The Spanish have been very helpful to Cuba in setting up quality hotels, and most of the staff speak English.
There seems to be no travel restrictions, we even took pictures with the department of defense buildings in them, while we were at the main parade square (on a bus tour no less).
