Glad we travel on a quieter week.
I was actually very upset with the pictures that were posted in that thread. A) they should never have been taken in the first place and, B) they should never, EVER have found their way to the internet in any form because it's impossible that everyone in those pictures gave their permission for them to be taken. I'm surprised and disappointed with the person who posted them and I'm surprised and disappointed with the monitor of this board for leaving them up. People careers and livelihoods are at stake and everyone should think long and hard about putting pictures like that up on this or any other board. A little common sense goes a long way.

I thought the blurring and the fact that not one person was focused on (foreground people had thier backs turned) mitigated my concerns.
There are probably lots more incriminating photos being taken by the Sandals folks on thier boats. I saw one idiot being escorted away by security who went up to a nude jacuzzi suite to try to take pictures through the sliding glass door.
With facedown's photo there was no *intent* to invade privacy. There was no attempt being made to exploit anything.
I would give facedown the benefit of the doubt or sentence him/her to a few lashes with cold spaghetti at the most for this transgression

Very touchy subject. One night we went to nude hot tub and a group of 5 or 6 maybe boys and girls all participating in you know. Bet they would not want it all over the web.? Tacky to say the least for me. Great to keep people out of the shot.

To answer the question "Should we worry about cameras?": It depends on who you are. It depends on the risk.

Rob&Jo- I know you just tossed that comment out there but I think you hit it on the head. Of course, the risk is an individual's assessment, and certainly not one that other people should determine for strangers, friends, or otherwise. We have had friends who didn't want their pictures taken at all, while others didn't care about it at all. We always make sure anyone we take a picture of knows that it is happening and we don't share pictures of people with others.

I was wondering about this too. With digital images these days you can't control where the pictures will ultimately end up.

Totally understand some peoples wishes but really unless you are someone in the public eye like rich & famous it really makes no sense for the creeper to do anything with the pick other than for his own enjoyment. On that note...you are already naked in front of him/her so what's it matter that he takes a memory home. Doesn't bother us but we are not like most. When we were at Hedo in June laying on the nude beach a woman was wearing headphone listening to music on her i phone while she walked around snapping pictures of us and people. Been a great approach had she turned her shutter tone off. She couldn't hear it but we could. Lmao! I'm only jealous I didn't get copies. Damn!!!

some have ethical agreements in the contracts for their positions. I have seen Hedo pics on Tumblr and that just ain't right. Take all the pics you want just don't do it around me.

Sorry for being a pain but it truly is an issue. There are some that really just don't care about anyone but themselves. Million is hot so there could be many pics of her..... Just sayin

Please understand and be mindful with your camera.

Uh,Hello, there are plenty of Hedo Patrons who would really prefer NOT to show up on YouTube,FaceBook, and the rest of the social media sites. All that has to happen is for one person who recognizes you to show it to one other person and someone's professional life could essentially be ruined. Not to mention turmoil it would cause in certain families. So people need to practice discretion and good manners when it comes to pics.

At the end of the day it's still Hedo's policy that cameras are forbidden on the nude beach/pool area. This should be the end of the story but it seems there's still lots of issues. The policy needs to be strictly enforced and would solve the problem if it was. We've taken pictures on the c/o side and have always been very careful to make sure nobody else is in the background

At the nude beach/pool I would love to see a sign posted along the lines of... "You can check your email/Facebook in the lobby: phones/ cameras are prohibited and may be tossed in the pool."

This is what we wrote a few years ago before our first trip....I think it still works...Brian&Terri

We are newbies and plan to take pics of us in the normal places. Hedo sigh things like that but if we wanted people to know we were there we would tell them....not have it show up on a web site. We see it this way...we have our normal life and a hedo life and they do not mix in the real world. Just how we feel.

The resort we go to here at home has a policy of "no digital devices whatsoever" inside the pool/hot tub/swim up bar area. I asked them about my iPad 1 as it has no camera and they replied it doesn't matter, they don't want to have to check. I think this would be a good policy for Hedo...if you want to read on the beach bring a hard copy book, if you need to communicate digitally use your room or the lobby. After all, you are on vacation.

I must point out that this is yet another thread resurected from 3 years ago by Dave_houston. Although the topic is still valid, they will find that many of the original posters do not visit the board anymore.
Technology has advance somewhat since 2011...last trip we did see a dude with sunglasses with a video lens on the arm. I'm assuming that he would video/take picture of whatever he was looking at. We only saw him briefly and someone at Delroys questioned him on his glasses and he dissappeared quickly never to be seen again...(Day passer?)...But it is possible to conceal a camera if someone wants to very easily.
The individual guest will unfortunately will have to determine their own risk as you cannot trust 100% your image will not show up somewhere. We like to assume that everyone follows the "rules"
