Do we have to worry about people taking our pictures??? Are people very respectful to respect our wishes not to be taken? My wife wants to get naked for me but afraid of cameras and her picture being taken. Please tell me we don't have to worry.

Personally, we're not worried about the person with the traditional camera...we can see it...we're aware of it, and we can choose to remove ourselves from the picture...
More of a concern are the phones, "blue tooth" devices (we saw a post of an ear device for pictures this week), lapttops etc....they even have a camera in a barbie doll now!! I think the people with a normal camera are far more less intimidating taking a "normal" pictures than the people with unscrupulous means of taking a digital image.
Again, even though every one has a right to vacation and do with their free time what they want...and yes, because you are at Hedo you are not giving you "permission" to be photographed...but reality says if pictures are that big of a deal, perhaps you should re-think your vacation venue.
Just my 2 cents

We take a couple cameras too- every trip. We are also VERY conscious of who is in the background and try to be as respectful as we can about making sure no one is in a picture that does not want to be. The quad at H3 was great for that because as an optional area cameras were ok- lots of naked friend pictures that we keep to ourselves and to the people in them- fun fun!

You can never be really sure that you won't get captured on somebodies picture. Generally, though, you won't be photographed. I'd say 99% of people at H2 with camera's are respective of your privacy.
I like to have pictures of my vacations, and keep the H2 ones in an encrypted file, and have shared them with no one except the wife. Before bringing my camera out, I make it known to all in ear shot that it's out, or at least wave it around so that everyone knows it's out. I don't take shots on the nude side of H2 when people are present.
BTW, the tour boats from Sandels sail slowly past (and close to) the nude beach so that the Sandels guests can take photo's, and if they have super zoom camera's (and these are not big ticket items these days), then there is a good chance you will (if your on the beach) be photographed. You'll be safe from telephoto lens at the nude pool though.

I have taken lots of photos at Hedo, but I am always respectful of the people around. When I pull out my camera it is pretty hard to not see it as it is a pro level Nikon DSLR and is quite large. I have never had any issues with anyone and plan on keeping it that way. If I don't have someones permission to be in a photograph, they aren't gonna be in any of my shots. Last trip we exchanged email with several people that we had become friends with and they were very happy to have copies of any photos that we had taken.
On a side note, I do travel with a small light kit and some light modifiers, so if anyone sees us at Hedo and wants to do some professional level portraits, glamour, etc. feel free to ask, photography for me is something I do for enjoyment as well as make a few bucks. I would be very happy to shoot some nice stuff for you for free and send you the photos.
I posted about this after our last trip. Yes you need to keep your eyes open. We used to take a lot of pictures and still take pictures of our group, but you do need to pay attention to the people in the crowd. I have had to approach people with video cameras during the theme nights, the guy sitting in the disco with his camera on his lap snapping random shots, and the guy with his camera sitting on the table pretending to be looking the other way while he snapped pics of the people on the dance floor. On our previous trip there was a young guy who almost got his ass kicked for snapping a couple of shots in the hot tub, and the creepy single guy who had to be told a number of times to delete images and stop taking pictures of people he didn't know. We never used to worry, but my wife has become more aware of the number of cameras around and now the people in our group look for them, but it is taking the fun out of Hedo for her. Many people are respectful of others just as we are, and it is true that with all the new devices you can never be totally safe from having your picture taken anywhere, but our advice is keep your eyes open. Not only for yourself but for those around you, and if you see a person being a problem report them to the staff, they are quite good a dealing with this problem when advised. People assume it is ok to take their cameras everywhere and that if you are there you are at Hedo at the same time as them that your fair game. There is a certain expectation of "privacy" at Hedo, that being that you can do things there in a safe environment and that they will stay there. Not be sitting on some strangers computer or website after you leave.
So agree dsquared...
Never take off your sunglasses, wear a hat, we dont wear anything that says where we are from and remain vigilant. I actually look for those people that take photos in the non photo areas and rat them out immediatley, yeah I'm that guy...but really folks just be cognisant of whats around ( HEDONISM sings) and who is in the background, (that poor couple that is wearing some kind of fetish garb and are really nursery school teachers). Its 2011 there is no privacy anymore, just what you percieve to be privacy. Hell we've even came up with fake personalities and backgrounds once, was kind of fun!

I like to take a lot of pics also but, as stated above, these are shared only with the wife (and she's in most of them) and stored in an encrypted file. Only pics of the two of us ever get posted. I don't take pics unless those in the photo know about it as I don't want anyone doing this to us. IF you want us in your pics we seldom, if ever, have any objections. We have, however, seen those that have no respect and take random shots of any nekkid people they can find. These types we don't care for. I like to have pics of our vacation and of the good times - but I always consider these to be "eyes only" - that's why I also take plenty of pics of benign vacation stuff so I can have those to show around.
You will find 99% of the people at Hedo will respect your wife's wishs not to be photographed. However, if you have a job where it is 100% necessary that you dont have your photo taken then Hedo isnt for you. There are so many ways people can take your photo. On one trip Hedo hired a new tennis pro and I caught him sitting on the nude beach in his clothes taking photos with his cell phone. I called security not knowing he was a staff memeber and they told him to stop but they did not make him erase what he had taken. A few days later I caught him at on PJ night taking photos of people as they walked from the bar area into the disco. This time I grabbed his camera and a couple of the EC's ran over. They told me to give his camera back and that he was a member of the staff and they would handle it. Once again the photos were not deleted. I dont know what happened as far as them talking to him but he did avoid me the rest of the trip.
First trip to Hedo II.....1986
First couple tossed out of the Grand Lideo..opening week
were bringing our camera and hope that a few of our new friends will take some pictures of us both clothed and nude.. clothed for folks back home and nude for our own naughty pleasures.. LOL but of course we will be very careful with our camera as respecting others is our main goal ( other then getting drunk and fucking like rabbits everywhere...)
hopefully a few new friends will want to shoot our pics..we are getting an underwater disposable camera as well..

Bill,
I believe in the adage about there "being strength in numbers".
If I saw something like that I would ask others in joining me for the confrontation.
Douche bag (staff or not) is less likely to put up a fight if he thinks there is even the slightest chance of his ass being beaten or his pretty little camera phone accidentaly dropped into the pool, hot tub, dirty banana.
Im not condoning violence, hell who wants to spend time in a Jamaican jail, but numbers behind you might get better results.
And if douchebag did happen to fall down the steps 4 or 5 times (clumsy douche bag, shouldnt drink so much), there are lots of people there to corroborate your story.
PS, If anyone does drop someones phone or camera in the pool, hottub or nearest dirty banana, dont think that that is the end of the photos. They are still very easily recovered.
Even if you delete them, they are very easy to recover. I suggest, and would myself, take the memory card. Recovery otherwise is just too damn easy. If the memory card is not removeable, I would class it as on of those "disposable" cameras.
Cheers

Rule #1) Never argue with an idiot. They pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
The only worry we have about camera's is having them stolen. If you see guys who are not naked on the naked-side, they are there to steal your stuff. Happened a couple of times last trip to H3 because security would not chase them out fast enough.
We do take a lot of pictures...and end up having two photo albums!
