The only difference in April is they look around before picking up the lobster trap for you to pick your lobster, lol.

lol, got ya. So you can't get it at the resort, but you can go to the island and get it. We may have to do that. Is there other ways to get out there besides Kayak, we don't do that. I am always afraid of flipping over and drowning. And how big is the island, what is the view like, details please?
If you ask the watersports guy they will run you over. We have sailed around the island it looks pretty flat. We usually get our lobster from the Office of Nature on Bloody Bay. We really like walking on the beach there, you will find the O of N just past Rui - another interesting local place to check out.

We talked to the boats that hangout around the pier. Actually I got the guard to call them over.
There were 4 of us so it was 10ea roundtrip. They dropped us off and picked us up 1.5-2 hours later
We went out around noon -- it was totally cool -- he had a 1/2 of a gallon milk jug to bail out the leakage.

the kayak trip is really nothing... a few minutes like Cop said. Don't worry about flipping over- it's not the kind of boat you put on and can get stuck upside down in, you sit on it. they also have life jackets if you'd prefer- i think they make you take them with you anyway.
Oh yes, I know what ones you mean now. Do they still have the two person ones? Anyone that has been there lately. I think we will try this next year and hopefully not keep going around in circles out in the ocean!!!

Over to the Island Booby Cay
I cannot do the kayak because of back issues so I plan to get the Watersports guys to sail us over for a quick lunch as many times as I can afford.
Either way its a nice little island. Pretty large beach to walk around, some wooded area. Great way to spend a few hours in the afternoon with friends.

Made the mistake of trying to circumnavigate Booby Cay in a hobie cat. Darn near ripped the bottom out of the boat. The rocks, etc are very, very near the surface on the "left" side (as facing out to the ocean or going out to the island).
Sounds like a fun and interesting side trip! Will have to try it in January.
