Airfare to Jamaica

Just checked on airfare for our April 17 trip down to Hedo!! Delta wants $1600 per
couple !!! I checked and that is a 100% increase from our trip last year. I normally wait
about 6 weeks before departure to make reservations. Airtran is also up there. Does
anyone think rates will go down? I know its Easter Week, but really, 100%!!! Of course,
I could get my wife to put on one of her Hedo outfits and start "working" Peachtree Street in Downtown Atlanta.

i bought our tickets at sky auction. we belong to a travel club and stil was able to beat their price by a 1000.00 bucks. just make sure you read all the fine print about all the additional added costs when you look at their auctions.

We are going at the end of July and I have already paid for the airfare and it was $1050 for the couple. I normally like to get it as far out as possible because I know it will go up the close it gets. This is also a direct flight out of Philly.

We booked ours in December for Feb 26 and paid 820 for a couple.

When we looked in December it was just over 900, Jan it was 1,200. And I hear it may go up even more. One never knows if they will go up or down. I didnt want it going up more so we booked it for the 1,200.

we got our airfare for 2 people at 800 roundtrip thatwas 400 each of us we got agreat deal on that , but we booked back in august.

I am guessing your booking buisness class, as thats what we paid for ours. They have flights for around 1400 right now for a couple plus tax .

Just buy her a ticket and you ride with the luggage.

I have been shopping airfare for July/August for about 3 months now- it seems a little high when we started and is just flat insane right now- I would avoid Delta they seem to be leading the way (with AA following close behind) when it comes to gouging. We are looking at 1300 per couple for us from the west coast- which is over $500 more than the lowest price we have paid. We are rolling the dice. Going to wait until mid April and see what happens. Hoping that once this Egypt thing settles and as we get closer it will come down a little. A funny note- we looked at AA and found the for a flexible ticket Business Class for our route is cheaper than Economy by almost $150 each way. wtf?

Yes, 1400 is about right for Airtran. Strange, but Airtran has been showing no economy seats left on mBJ to Atl flights ever since Christmas. Buck, I tried to get her to fly Spirit
again, but she said she'd rather go down to Peachtree Street !! LOL

Try looking on skyscanner.com for all the airlines that fly to Montego Bay from the US.

When you travl makes a big difference. Staying over a Saturday night drops the price enormously. Don't travel at peak business commuter time Mondays early or Friday pm

We paid 400rt pp for our April trip on AJ we also paid the same for July on AJ and for New years we got a deal on Delta 328pp rt. We find if you book the airfares 330 days in advance it is the cheapest and that is what we do. 61 days to go

We booked with Air Jamaica as well. They were the cheapest that I had found.
