Smile Sea Mountain Inn - Palm Springs

Has anyone been to the Sea Mountain Inn in Palm Springs? My hubby is thinking of sending me down in spring (April or May) for a Spa weekend (looking forward to massages & no tan lines). What is it like? How is the weather that time of year? What's it like for women who go alone?

    Hey Sexy Mum,
I think we may try it in March (Spring Break). We'll let you know what we think of it when we get back.

We have been. It is a lot of fun. It may be a couples place. You may want to check. If you do go by yourself, your husband will be kicking himself when he hears about your trip.

It is a small place. There are PDAs. The weekends should be happening. Not sure how the week days will be, but we think it is likely pretty slow. If you are looking for no tan lines, You may want to consider the Tera Cota Inn or other nudist hotel.

My wife & I went a few years ago, and can't wait to get back. It was very safe, fun, and wild. You should have an easy time hooking up and meeting lots of people.

I checked it out on line, it looks like a nice place, BUT if you live in Canada why not just have you and your hubby go to Hedo instead of a resort with a "Hedo like experience", go for the real thing!!!! That's what I would do, lol

We went for a couple of days in March. It was a lot of fun and met some great people. It is quite small, and has a bit of a Hedo feel to it, but it is NOT Hedo. What it does have for those of us on the west side of Canada is numerous direct flights to Palm Springs daily, so it can be a week-end thing to help get you through to the next Hedo trip.

We're going to SMI on the 18th (June). First time for us even though we only live a little more than an hour away. Sounds like fun. We need a DIF buster before our August Hedo trip.

hmmmm..... let us know what you think after you get back (we will be @Hedo).
After reading all that you have written over the past year, would trust your viewpoint as you seem a lot like us.....having someplace close by for the quick getaways would be nice in between hedo trips!!!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. We'll definitely let you know how it was. We're not staying there because it's very expensive and they require a two day minimum stay on the weekends and we only have Saturday available. We're staying just a short distance away at a place called Miracle Springs Resort ($89/nite with the SMI discount they offer) and buying a day/night pass at SMI that gives you full use of the facilities from 10:30am to 2:00am. Miracle Springs was recommended to us both by SMI and someone else from this board. Have a fantastic trip and maybe one day we'll get to meet each other at Hedo (or maybe even SMI).

Another fellow Southern Californian! We're pretty rare on here. Yes. it is FAR! It takes us about 15-16 hours from the time we leave our house until we walk into the lobby at Hedo. That's a long day and it completely eliminates any possibility of a short trip. We usually do nine nights in April and 12 in August. That makes the travel worthwhile.

Nine nights!!!! Lucky!! Have two little ones at home I can't be away from them that long. You are right about how long it takes to get there I need one entire day to recover from the trip there. Enjoy your August trip C&G.
