Is there anyone else who is D+ on the cruise and will be joining us in the concierge or diamond lounge?

Yes, it's a great idea. On the April 2011 cruise, one of the sponsors gave out dry erase boards for the doors. No guarantee they'll do that this year, so we're going to bring our own just in case. Here's a photo of the board from last cruise...whiteboard.jpg

I think the board had a string on it so it would hang on the door number plate. I've also read that the doors are steel, so you can use magnets as well.

Even if they are provided, we'll be using whatever we bring in addition to whatever is provided. All of those doors look the same, and I remember at least once on the last cruise leaving the piano bar to go back to the cabin and wondering why my key wouldn't work, until I realized I was trying to open someone else's door

I can't believe it, we just tried to sign up for our diving and at Cococay, its a shore dive....you walk out into the water.....and its SOLD OUT! So they are telling us, we can't go on shore, put on our own gear and walk out in the water....ok, guess we do need takes, but come on! Also St Maartin is sold out if you have your own gear, but if you use their gear its still available....Guess we'll just have to find another way....to go down!

I want to advise you that Orient Beach, Maho Beach (the airport and Sunset Beach bar), and Philipsburg (Shopping) are located in 3 different directions. If you do not know your way around the island, I would suggest negotiating with a cab, preferably a group gets together to share the cost of a cab that is a van, and tell the cab operator you want him for the day (pay at the end so the cab will stay with you). Start out with the trip to Orient Beach as early as you can get off the ship; tell the cab to head to Pedro’s or Coco Beach Bar which is located next to Club Orient. Stay a couple hours and around 11:00 am head to Maho Beach and Sunset Beach Bar. Depending on traffic and there is traffic on St. Maarten, it could take you about 30 to 45 minutes to get to Sunset Beach bar from Orient Beach. Sunset Beach Bar is outstanding for lunch. I would suggest leaving Sunset Beach bar at around 1:30 pm and heading to Philipsburg. The drive between Sunset Beach Bar and Philipsburg can also take 30-45 minutes, you going over the hill and traffic can be problem. The shopping in Philipsburg is heaven for the ladies and a killer to the guy’s pocket book. The Jewelry stores are awesome for the ladies. We plan to get to Orient Beach as soon as we can and probably stay 2 hours at each of the 3 stops (Orient Beach, Sunset Beach Bar and Philipsburg). The ship is docked about a 20 minute walk from Philipsburg, so we will be heading back to the ship no later than 4:00 pm. With regard to diving, I will be diving at Coco Cay and St. Thomas (going to enjoy diving with Daphne again). I am passing on the dive at St. Maarten; the island is too much fun for the day. Send us a message if you have any questions. The Trojan of Volsandtrojans
Thanks for the info. We are not Scuba Divers so shopping & Sunset beach sounds like a great plan. And we like to sleep ( cuz we usually party late :-o) so as usual we will head out later in the morning & find another couple on the fly to share a cab with

Oh and we are in cabin # 9364
