Beach quality

Just wondering is the beach nice and is there full nudity allowed .

The prude side beach is bigger than the nude side, but the nude side is where everyone is at. It isn't the best beach in the world, but it is the most fun and full nudity is a must on the nude side.

I thought the beach was quite nice. Lots of loungers and floaties. Really calm water. Wish I was there right now....

are there things to chill out with on the water? floats or anything? lots of hammocks around to?

I thought Desire was all clothing optional? I would be happy if it is nude since that's what I'll be when I go in December, lol

The beach is very nice.....gets a bit narrow when the tide comes in.....full nudity is allowed at the beach.....there is about 30 beach beds with paillat roof on them for part shade.....they have white drapes on the sides that you can close....one thing to remember is that there is foot traffic from other resorts on each side....so if you are concerned that someone from back home might be staying at a resort near by....there are sex police from the resort that patrol the beds....sex is not allowed in public in Mexico....you will be warned the first time, but might get escorted from the property if it reoccurs....there is bar service at the beach....the waitress will serve you drinks on your bed...chair or even out in the ocean....any other questions ....feel free to ask

The beach is typical for Riviera Maya resorts. Very nice.

When we were there the beach was well taken care of nice soft sand. It is narrow at all times and due to special permission clothing OP. The beach beds are great for sleeping and reading but sex is a no no.

The Beach is nice but it is public. Nudity is only allowed in front of the resort. You will find the Gulf has alot of waves comming in which is not perfect for floats. You can get an idea of what the beach looks like at http://www.online-travel-agent-oppor...rt_cancun.html

How can anyone get an idea of what the beach looks like now with those pictures? Those pics are 5 or 6 years old AT LEAST, and the beach looks NOTHING like that now. Pier? Gone. It's lined with beach beds, palapas gone. And the size of the beach as well is different, as the various tropical storms over the past year or two have drastically changed the beach for the worst. For much of the day the water laps at the foot of the beach beds now. On the plus side, management does plan to very soon address the issue and replenish the beach, and there is also a plan to finally rebuild the pier.

Skinny beach, nude in the beds ok sex NO NO NO and when we were there a lot of sea grass made it a bit of a mess. Soft sand to walk on with some rocks so I always ware water shoes anyway and was very glad I had them there. The resort does rake the sand every morning to keep it looking nice and the guards on each end of the resort beach were nice to chat with.

i would agree....we were there a year and half ago------the beach is pretty much GONE with the storms. Better to hang out in the hot tub on the roof and look at the beach rather than go to it. :0(

GONE!............ that's a bummer! we are the type who would rather throw down a couple of beach towels and lay out right there on the beach. can anyone give a recent update on the beach.

We just had friends return with pics of a huge beach (by comparison to a year ago) at Desire now. Probably 30 feet wide from the ends of the beds. The restoration program with the huge sunken sand bags looks to be doing a good job.
