I hear you...we have it BAD right now. We are booked for November ... but seriously considering a September trip. Not sure it is going to work out...but at least kind of planning it and dreaming about it help a little.

Nothing wrong with a 3-4 day, small luggage quick visit to help hold you over, say around 9/14 - 9/18

True true, we were there in August with our group, took a quick 4 nighter in April with friends in April and going back again in August with our group. Have to say it did help curtail the DIF...may have to make that an annual thing.

What is this "small luggage" that you speak of?

I feel the same pain after 8 nights of great fun June 5-13....so much so I thinking about cutting my Fantasy Fest (Key West-October) time in half and heading to H2 for 3-4 nights....

THAT is serious withdrawal symptoms since this will be my 11th Fantasy Fest celebration week.

For all you weak willed people who can't control your addiction to Hedo (and I am firmly in that camp) - take a look at Jetblue. You can get from Orlando to Montego Bay for $300 or New York to Montego Bay for $500. Then you just need to find one of the travel agents to get you the best rate for Hedo

I travel quite a lot and there are tricks to finding the cheaper flights.

Bridge your stay over a Saturday night. That drops the price enormously. Businessmen travel out and back within the week so they can be home at week ends. Tickets that go out and back in the same week seem to have a premium.

Avoid the businessman commuter flights. Monday morning/Friday afternoon. Early morning flights and late afternoon flights. Mid day and mid week is good.

A drive to the second closest air port to you might get a cheaper flight.

Web sites, Skyscanner lets you see which airports you can fly from. Also includes the budget airlines

Other sites - Opdo, Expedia, Travel Supermarket
