    US cash or Jamaican Money?

    What is everyones thoughts on whether we should use US currency, exchange before going or can you exchange at hedo? All opinions welcome

    No need to exchange, most places (gift shop, excursions) require US and the rest prefer it.

    We have always just used US dollars for everything while there.
    H2 - June 21-26, 2011
    H3 - June 12-17, 2010
    H3 - Oct 2009
    H3 - Mar 2007

    US dollars are fine. Just be sure to bring smaller bills, 20's 10's 5's 1's as many will not have change.Even at the resort is sometimes a bit difficult.

    no need to exchange but go with what others said - smaller bills it is easier to haggle over prices with them for gifts & such when you only have smaller bills and arent showing them the 100 dollar bills in your hand

    Definately bring small bills and do not show 50's or larger.... Other than that U.S. is the way to go.

    US only-don"t even bother with exchanging. Only small bills, nothing larger than a 20.

    With the Canadian dollar so strong right now, that is also widely accepted. Only problem is Loonies and Toonies are damned heavy to carry )
