    I gained or remained the same the first month it was sooo frustrating but on the second month it started shedding. Measure your inches, your gaining muscle. I should take my own advice I've threatened to throw the scale out the window a few times

    Down a few lbs
    Lost an inch from waist
    Cut % of body fat by 1/3
    Gained a full inch on upper arms

    Just back after 9 days at H2,I worked out 8 out of 9 days in the morning,i even watched what I ate there.... More salads and less pasta,but still ate well. I did work out a bit more the 3 months before and this was the less I have gained only 3 lbs over my normal weight on any trip to Hedo. H2 has a really nice gym, and it is empty most days.

    When we go in Sept it will be my 30 day rest period after P90X, think I will just stick to diving, maybe hit the gym once or twice just to do some biking, as I have a charity bike ride the Sat after we return, doing the MS150 ride.

    I have always been a fan of what I call "blunt force" weightloss- lots of cardio and not really watching what I eat. Got turned on to a website yesterday (not like that ya pervs) to help monitor intake and calories out. www.figwee.com
    I have no stake in this at all- just found it interesting. It is free and so far they have not tried to sell me anything. You can put your goals in for weightloss and then use it as a food diary. It keeps track of your calories and estimates calorie burn too- giving you easy calorie totals to try to follow a plan (something I am not very good at normally. Anyway- give it a look.

    I was doing up to 3 hour a day workouts when I lost my weight last year, would do my crunches, some weight work, etc, spinner tapes, then pop a movie in the DVD player and do the gazelle while the movie was on for an additional 2 hours. Dropped my 90lbs. Now working on converting to muscle with P90X. Hope to be in the shape I want when our group goes in April 2011. Two year plan and alot of work, but I am sure it will be worth it. Plus my sexy kitten gets a designated driver for the summer again, lol.

    I am about 2/3 thru the second 90 and I have gained about 4 lbs but have added another inch to my arms and my belt is still loose so something must be going right.

    I plan to start P90X on Sunday 8/1. My wife and I did power 90 many years ago but it was much more basic than this program. I bought the pull up bar and have some basic weights. We are both in pretty good shape but I need to lose about 15 pounds...any words of wisdom before we start?

    Get the P90X recovery drink, it works and helps alot and tastes pretty good too.

    If you are commited to the time it takes each day it will work, take the body measurements before you start it will help when the scale doesn't show the progress you wanted at times.
