I have stayed at Toby's....it's clean, cheap, and close to the airport. Only thing I didn't like was no safe's in the room....(front desk safe only)

1st trip to Hedo booked for Feb...We read somewhere that the beach isn't that great and you have to wear beach shoes into the water. Is this true? How bad is it?
