Interaction with local Jamaican men . . . is it safe?
After reading a number of threads that make reference to single Jamaican men entering the HEDO II compound, especially the disco and the hot tub, I am curious about the reason for locals to come down and party at HEDO II.
I have no problem with single Jamaican men showing up to party, hey, everyone wants a good time! But I am somewhat apprehensive about their motivation. We are very open-minded and my wife is drooling over the "hot" Jamaican men that you see in the travel brochures, But that's just a fantasy. What about the reality? Is it safe to mingle with these local "guys" and will they show us the same courtesy and respect that we expect from the registered guests at HEDO? Are they there to boogie and dance or are they there to mix and mingle? Are they there to provide sexual favours for the guests and, if so, at what price? Is there a safety concern and a "line" we should not cross?
We are looking forward to a fun and relaxing time at HEDO II in March and we don't want to get into situations that we could (or should) avoid!
Your input and advise is appreciated!

3rd world men of any hue...
Having been around a bit in nasty places and doing what I do, your question scares the frikken bejayzuz out of me.
I'd be extra cautious WRT ANY body that is looking to play intimately as an anonymous entity at a level they have not attained on their own and have, so to speak, nothing to lose and all to gain by being less than honest, respectful or playing outside the bounds of saftey. More than once have defective and desperate individuals saved their pennies or otherwise snuck in somewhere to steal a taste of a lifestyle far above their level as a last fling and care not a whit what damage they cause in the process. Plenty of bad juju and emotional pathology in third world contries and plenty of fatalistic and selfish attitudes the naive can get hurt by. Intentionally victimizing wealthy and fairly clueless Americans is high sport in many parts of the world among the poor and envious locals. There is rio risk free activity, just better or worse risk management, so do what you think is best in a high risk environment.

Hey Ebony, you're a true sport!
I'm glad we straightened out the "race card issue"! My request was simple and straight forward; we're going to a foreign country and we would like to know about the relationship that exists between the local "guests" and the vacationers at HEDO II. This is simply a matter of safety and local custom. There is no "hidden agenda" in my question. I was born and raised in Holland, which is arguably the most progressive and tolerant nation in the world. We embrace all creeds, colors and faiths without reservations. But I still wouldn't embrace a Muslim woman in Saudi Arabia (as it is not their custom), nor would I subject myself or my wife to the company of someone (male or female) who may not be part of the “easy feeling” spirit of HEDO II.
In a previous question about outsiders infringing on the enjoyment of HEDO by its guests, the following comment was posted:
“Ya, when there is a problem, it is usually from a local.”

Again, I’d like some input on the safety issues. We’re not naïve when it comes to assessing someone’s intentions, but we don’t want to make assumptions on one or two posted observations.
