Just wondering if anyone knows about a good company. We didnt book airport transfers with reservation. Have no patience to be on a shuttle that may stop at a bunch of other hotels first. I have quote for $160 from Transcabo for a SUV ride, total, return trip for both of us. Seems little steep but nice to go direct. Any feedback appreciated. thx
We went last year and did transcabo but the cheaper one. Desire was the first stop for the bus so you did not have to go to all these other places, and the look and some of the peoples face is to die for. We are going back this year, but this time we are taking a taxi. What I have been told is its about $ 45.00 US one way, and about the same going back. There is all ways taxi waiting out side of Desire to take you back. Hope this helps.
Ok great. may just taxi then, or see if transcabo has a smaller vehicle, definately dont need and SUV for just us 2. thanks!
WE've done it 6 times. Taxi from airport to Desire is 45-50$ US. The return from Desire to airport is $25-30. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEM TAKE THE NEW TOLL HIGHWAY. Even if it costs a bit more, you save a lot of time. The old way goes through the surface roads, and is slow. So, tell them or ask them to take the Toll Road.
When you get out of the security area of the airport, you pass into a lobby where all the guys are selling time shares, activities, etc... There are guys there who will offer you taxis. They are actually the best way to get a taxi. You just have to be very firm and decline all their sales pitches. The way you get a taxi is these guys collec the money and give you a little chit for the taxi, escort you outside and take you to the taxi itself. If you wander outside to get a taxi, they don't approach you... it all works through these middle men.
We've used cabosanlucastours.net three times and use the $11 per person shared ride. Desire is the first stop each time and then we use a $25 taxi back to the airport. Have fun!

We have not been to Cabo before. If we need to be at the airport for an 8 a.m. flight, can we rely on Transcabo to be at Desire at a set early time to return to the airport, or should we use a cab? Or, maybe there is not really much difference in price using a taxi to return to airport. Any words of advice? Thanks.
I have only been there once, inquired into transcabo but didnt book, waaay more expensive, cabs easy to get and regulated at $25 from Desire to Airport, def the way to go, just tell front desk you want cab for certain time and they will set it up!
