Trip Report 7/15 - 7/20 - Great Trip!
The flights were quick and easy for us - we had points for first/business class to Miami then Montego bay so double bloody mary's were definitely in order!
We booked Club MoBay for the first time and won't do it any other way in the future - our hostess greeted us at the ramp then guided us through our fastest ever arrival procedure even while having to go through the "COVID interrogation squad" and using automatic hand sanitizer stations at what seemed like every corner - I'd say it was only around 20 minutes from the time we left the plane til we were being served drinks at Club MoBay - then didn't even have time to finish them before we were on our direct transfer to H2. We wore masks during the flight, all through the airport, and on the transfer.
Everyone we met from TX, AZ, NY and FL did have to take a COVID test before heading to the resort, but we never heard that anyone's came back positive.
Unlike a couple other reviews and past trips, we arrived at around 2:30pm to no fanfare, or welcome drinks, but after checking on upgrades we decided to spend the extra $$$ on upgrading to an ocean view hot tub room which turned out to be well worth the money.
After getting our welcome package of PPE (awesome mermaid logo masks and hand sanitizer) we were shown to our room where we quickly unpacked just enough stuff to head out to the pool!
We were only a few rooms down from the fun, so as soon as we walked out the back door we heard the familiar sound of music and voices of people having fun!
Masks weren't required in the beach or pool areas, the pool bar was elbow to elbow, but for the most part people kept a few feet away - masks are suggested in the common areas and the gift shop.
For the most part the resort was pretty quiet except for the nude pool and the entertainment areas - we never saw anyone utilizing the prude pool or plunge pools.
We walked around the resort a bit - the prude side was pretty much deserted, the standalone hot tubs were cold - but clean, and overall the resort looks like it's been maintained very well during the restrictions. The did take down the old waterslide structure and it almost looks like there could be some type of stage there for future events - though they said it was just going to be open space.
We kept mostly to ourselves the first day, and only had a few brief conversations with other guests while getting the feel for this new age of Hedonism.
We're mostly pool/hot tub people, but we went for a couple swims in the ocean, held our first starfish (after googling if it was ok lol) and only got the HobieCat out one day for a couple hours and loved it.
We missed the booze cruise with the "Fluffers" due to thunderstorms, which was a big disappointment since that's one of our favorite things to do - especially with a fun group, but instead our group of rooms had the staff and our hot tub all to ourselves on the beach and had a great time waiting for the rain to pass.
The restaurants were never very busy which made service even more amazing than usual. We wanted to do HarrySan, especially since we heard the sushi was great, but we always arrived as the first guests at the table and figured the wait to fill the table wouldn't be worth it so we stuck to Pastafari and Flame and were never disappointed.
The buffet was closed for dinner, but was great for breakfast. They do have to serve you, but they serve you at the buffet vs. ordering from your table like I assumed beforehand.
We always just stick to snack foods during the day like the amazing patties from the pool bar or beach grill and we're never disappointed.
The nude pool bartenders were amazing as always and it was so great to see familiar faces. Whether it's the new management, or the limited capacity, there were always top shelf liquors available.
We went to the dance club one night when it was open and the energy was still great even at limited capacity.
The piano bar is also one of our favorites, and again even at very limited attendance we still had a great time.
The shows were better than ever in my opinion, and the staff were all going out of their way to make everyone feel at home.
A couple nights they moved the entertainment out to the courtyard with a DJ and dance floor so we danced & chatted (socially distant) until it was time for pool/hot tub where we were pleasantly surprised to see that the poolside playroom was open!
We talked to great people from all over, had an amazing time as always, and even learned a fun/sexy new poolside card game courtesy of "Rickman Bear" which is always a great ice breaker after drinks have been flowing.
We were set to leave on Sunday, but decided to stay in paradise another day and had one last night of fun, unlimited cocktails and nearly unlimited inhibitions.
After about two hours of sleep, we woke up, repeated some of the most amazing sex ever, a quick swim and off to the lobby to catch our transfer back.
We didn't bother with Club MoBay even though we paid for it because we still needed to do some gift shopping and weren't impressed with the food options on the way in.
We wound up giving up our first/business class flights home which stuck us with a horrible 5 hour exhausted layover in Baltimore on a different airline, but we would still do it again to get that extra day.
Long story short, we're so glad we went and we highly recommend going. It was a different trip for sure, but once your feet hit the sand it's all worth it.
Huge thanks to all the guests, staff, DJ's, singers, piano players, dancers and teddy bears that made our trip amazing!

As always, we still packed too much, even one swimsuit was too many for her. Two outfits/night for her, one for me.
We brought a handle of vodka that definitely wasn't needed - I went through my case of RedBull quickly, but the room credit took care of the rest.
Dress up every night! Whether you do theme night attire or not, it adds to the overall vibe.
Drink water & take a quick nap sometime before dinner.
Leave your politics at home - nothing kills a buzz like hearing your unsolicited political opinions.
We can't wait to get back home to H2!
