Find it interesting that it must be mentioned "there is little North American tourism.."
Your choice of course.

Well,I got a discount for going with Cop's group!
We work hard all year long and if Hedo is where it's at,... Then count us in... I'm with Cop... Nothing Insensitive about his post... It is what it is..either you have the money to go our you stay home, or go somewhere else...
The only question I have is who really goes for the rooms??? Not this girl...Hedo has a vibe all on its own.. And there is no place like it in the world...
I totally agree that if u can't afford then u just don't go. I mean I would luv to go out and buy my wife a brand new 75,000 dollar car, but guess what. I can't afford to so I can't and didn't. Which resort to go to is no diff then our everyday lives. Some people make more money than others on all diff levels. It's just a fact of life. Be thankful for what u can afford because u never have to look very far to see others that aren't as financially blessed as u. Just my thoughts.
Another problem for those who don't worry about prices so much is what happens when vacancies rise? A half filled resort is only 3/4ths as much fun...at least according to my research.
Let's see if that happens. It doesn't appear to be the case thus far as apparently the resort has been running at less than 100% occupancy and prices continue to rise. And if anyone knows about basic pricing and economics one would have to believe Harry does.
try couples san souci great deal
I don't think occupancy is going down very much. I think that the traditionally sold out weeks are still sold out.
Also, from an business economics standpoint... if you make a 15% price increase and it creates an overall 10% reduction in occupancy, you still made a smart business decision.
At the end of the day the price for Hedo will always be driven by what people are willing to pay... not by how much it costs Harry to keep the doors open.
They will know quickly if they price themselves out of the game. Although they may have priced some people out, it doesn't seem like it's anywhere near that yet. GVP hasn't moved that much.. now around $175 PP was around $155 in 2010.. not even 10% (May 2017 pricing, but even September is a little lower) ... you just have to get used to looking at Sandals when you get up in the morning.
For next March GVP I've been quoted @ $229 per person which = $458 a night for a couple.
That sounds like the price we Canadians pay after the F$%^ken exchange. US rates are around $175.00USD.
Is that a group rate or the rack rate from Hedo.
We were booked in at about $160.00 USD this year, but had to cancel at the last minute for medical reasons. F$%ken Breast Cancer.
Hoping next year, the rates won't rise to much.
Be aware that on this site most people speak American dollars.
