Is it necessary to use this service?
Yes.. We love getting through immigration and customs very fast and when leaving it’s nice to sit in there lounge area waiting for your flight.
An important piece of the answer is knowing when you plan to arrive at MBJ. The peak time for arrivals is generally between 1pm and 4pm. Winter time weekends will show more flights and higher load factors during those hours, as well.
So, any expectation on when your flight arrives?
We used Club Mobay for the first time on our last trip, and will use it again this October.
I like it because I hate standing in a line. As Passion4Diving says, the time and day you are arriving makes a difference as to how much it will influence your time through the arrivals process. Last year, we arrived on a Thursday morning, the beginning of October. Maybe the slowest time at MBJ the entire year. I was confident we would not need it, but I bought it any ways. I just did not want to be concerned in the weeks before we traveled, that we might have to que for immigration an hour after arriving. So for me, it is more of a no-que insurance policy. And we did not need. People not using Club Mobay, were at baggage before we were. But it was worth it.
This year, we are arriving early October, just after noon on a Wednesday. Do not expect to need it. But have already booked it.
I have posted this video link I found before. Gives an idea of Club Mobay.

You are basically paying to get be processsed by the Jamaican government in a hurry. Is worth the money trust me!!!!
How much $$$ are we talking for this Club MoBay privilege?
Agreed, we got it included because of the type of room we booked and when we got to the customs line it was way backed up. This was in March. I've heard others say they got off the plane and walked right through customs no problem. For us, it's worth it to not take the chance of waiting in line for hours when we can be naked having a drink at Hedo!
80.00 pp for both ways
Agree, arrival times make a difference.
We don't book the incoming flight because we've never had a bad experience on arrivals. What we would get from Club Mobay isn't worth it.
Now out going, we realized we were spending enough money at Margaritaville to pay for club Mobay and the atmosphere was typical "airport gate".
Plus our peeps were there, free food and alcohol, showers and change rooms (transition from Jamaica attire to Winter attire), and Wifi. Nicer atmosphere also.
Arrival times can make a difference
We love it for the peace of mind. We have been using it for both departure and arrival for our last few trips and plan to continue using it. We use the lounge much more for departure than arrival.
For us it's automatic; we build it into the cost of the vacation. We think of it as an insurance policy -- better to have it and not need it than vice versa.
