You're pretty right on thinking who I am.....someone wanted to keep it a surprise for you guys. My assignment ended 2 weeks early so....H2 here we come! This (literally) all just happened this morning. Ans then, you searched who I was---too funny......dang.....it's all good and funny as hell!

In answer to your question... Troost's book is a product of someone with too much time on his hands. "Bored shitless in Paradise and I made this crap up" is a book we could write. Hmmm... we have better stories.... like the time the maid blew up the fucking kitchen, or finding a nine foot python in your backyard, or blowing up 3 xboxes and a couple of Hitachi magicwands because someone forgot its all 220V not 110V, and blah blah blah... Note that the weather is always either HOT or HOT and WET. In the month of Dec it rained 48 inches. We get typhooned 16 times a year, and once or twice its devastating. Volcanoes? Hell, they are everywhere. Cannibals? They were once all cannibals, but know they are civilized. Its just living in the jungle.... with unreliable internet, electricity, phones, cable, or water (like th times we had to take a bath in one of our swimming pools... we have 2 homes here). Its all good. And we ain't leaving. And we will be on the beach all next week in Asia on another island holding drinks with parasols in them. We need to take a break from taking a break.
