The problem was people figuring out cheaper to stay at Point Village with say Air B&B and buy a day and night pass....eat and drink all day, far cheaper than a room at Hedo. The day/night pass was priced so that it became economical to stay elsewhere, Hedo is in the business of selling rooms and not catering to "pass" people. If someone wanted to try Hedo...it was available, but I think too many people were taking advantage of the cheaper rooms elsewhere and circumventing the Hedo room prices. So I can understand the increase. Yes it is now pricey for people wanting to try it out with the prospect of booking in the future....but they had to stop the people "beating" the system. I also found it unfair that people did this for 7 days....with the intention of vacationing at Hedo, and not wanting to pay the rate but found a go around with a cheap room and pass. Not so lucrative now to do this. Day passes are still available, although expensive for those wanting to try it out.

I think they would have been better off implementing a limit to how many day/night passes people could purchase. This would have closed off the price loophole while still providing an opportunity for people to dip their toe in the nude pool water.

I could not imagine staying at Point Village and going over to Hedo everyday.. I wouldn't classify that as a relaxing vacation... That's just my opinion. When we book a vacation, I just want to arrive at the resort and stay there until my time is up....although my time never seems long enough... But you know what I mean!!

This makes more sense, to us as vacationers... I guess the management doesn't see it that way!,

Yeah this is totally turning us off, we really want to test first rather than dropping 3K for a week of something that may not be up our ally. Maybe we will just suck it up and drop the $400, I am sure it will be worth it.

If you're already thinking about Hedo you might as well go Whole Hawg as we say down heyuh and go to Hedo for a week. You are more likely to like it than not provided you head on over to the nude side where the PARTY is and just be cordial.First two trips we split the week up between Hedo and That Resort Next Door-bot passes every night-just sayin'......then She decreed we didn't have to stay next door any more.LOL!

I think the main reason to keep the day/night passes reasonable is that young couples with kids might be vacation in Negril and want a fun day or night out. This is what creates new future customers and maintains high demand. Making it unaffordable for young marrieds is cutting of your nose to spite your face as the saying goes. If they want to limit it, it's simple. Limit it by the couple, allowing 1 or 2 passes per 7 day period.

Well we have started a Hedo nt pass fund for our trip in June. Lol. We r going no matter how much the pass costs. We have to try it to see if it is for us. If we like it then we will be at Hedo for a full week next year!!

Once you get there on a pass either day or night... You will be kicking yourselves in the ass because you have to drag yourself back to a vanilla resort... Trust us. It's the Hedo Fever, go once and it becomes an addiction ...

$400 is a freaking lot of money!

Other options: offer a 1 night stay at a competitive price. Or, offer a credit for a future booking. Something to not totally discourage the curious!

We loved all of our day/night passes over the years. See our trip report from August 2016. Now looking forward to our 2nd stay at Hedo in April. Have a great trip and don't forget to do a trip report.
