Of all the resorts we've visited in Jamaica and elsewhere, SRC is our favorite. The clothing optional section is soooooo tranquil.
No kidding! This is the first I've realized that there is a Sandals resort with a c/o area! Is it safe to assume that full nude is OK, meaning not just topless? I always thought Sandals was against having a nude or C/O section.

hedo2desire: Indeed Sandals Royal Caribbean Resort and Private Island has a designated clothing optional section out on the Private Island, so full nudity is 'OK', if you will. We've been visiting there for years. Over the years probably 2/3 of the guests go topless/full nudity. Some remain in swimwear. On the main property, occasionally you'll see women sunning topless.
Enjoy your trip. We will be at Hedo January 31st-March 7th. We would like to do the island, and find out more about it. Hope you have a blast, we might see you there.
I believe that location used to be called Sandals Royal Jamaican. We went there on our honeymoon in 1998. Since then, I believe they changed the name to Sandals Royal Caribbean. Can anyone verify this?

Well then, how things have changed for us since 1998. We were so young and naive back then at SRJ. My wife was willing to go topless there, but I was too uptight to take my trunks off. A mere 15 years later, we've been to Hedo twice and are looking to book a trip to Desire. It's hard to imagine how strong those insecurities were back then.

Keep in mind that the C/O beach is small and it can get windy out on the island.
